What To Do
- Drink plenty of water in the days before so your skin is well hydrated
- Gently cleanse the treated area with mild soap and water, no harsh scrubbing
- Apply the soothing ointment or moisturizer we recommend to keep the area hydrated
- Use a high SPF sunscreen and keep the treated area out of direct sunlight
- Book your follow-up sessions so the series stays on schedule
What To Avoid
- Stop retinoids, AHAs, BHAs and other exfoliating products 3 to 5 days before treatment
- No sun exposure or tanning for at least two weeks beforehand
- Avoid blood thinners such as aspirin, ibuprofen and vitamin E, which raise the risk of bruising. Talk to your doctor before stopping any prescribed medication
- No waxing, depilatory creams or laser hair removal on the area for at least a week before
- No makeup on the treated area until it has fully healed, and no saunas, hot baths or strenuous exercise while it is settling
