Long-Term Reduction: Let's Be Precise

Hair grows in cycles, and a laser can only affect a follicle that’s actively growing. That’s why this is a series, not a single appointment, and why “permanent” isn’t quite the right word.

After 2 to 3 Sessions

Most folks begin to see a significant reduction in hair.

6 to 8 Sessions, 4 to 6 Weeks Apart

The full series, a minimum of 6 to 8 sessions catches follicles across their growth cycles.

Long-Term, Not "Permanent"

Most people see substantial reduction. Some hair may eventually regrow, usually finer and lighter, so maintenance treatments may be needed.

What Our Patients Say

What Is Laser Hair Removal?

Light That Finds the Follicle

Laser hair removal is a popular, non-invasive treatment that uses concentrated light energy to target and destroy hair follicles beneath the surface of the skin, resulting in long-term hair reduction. At Seamless Health we use the Lutronic Clarity II™.

The laser is drawn to the melanin in dark, coarse hair (targeting the follicle while leaving the surrounding skin undamaged. Each pulse takes a fraction of a second and can treat multiple hairs simultaneously, which is why even a full-body session is about an hour.

Being straight with you about candidacy: it works best on light skin with dark hair. Darker skin tones can be treated) our Laser Technicians are extra cautious given the vulnerability to hyperpigmentation and burns. It’s less effective on light-coloured hair (blonde, grey or red), which simply contains less melanin for the laser to find.
