What Is Laser Hair Removal?

Light That Finds the Follicle

Laser hair removal is a non-invasive treatment that uses concentrated light energy to target and destroy hair follicles beneath the surface of the skin, resulting in long-term hair reduction. At Seamless Health we use the Lutronic Clarity II™, a dual wavelength laser built for fast, effective and customizable hair reduction across a wide range of skin types.

The laser is drawn to the melanin in the hair, targeting the follicle while leaving the surrounding skin undamaged. Built-in cooling keeps it comfortable, and each pulse takes a fraction of a second and can treat multiple hairs at once, so we can work through large areas and small ones just as precisely. That is why even a full-body session is about an hour.

Your skin tone is not a barrier. Because the Clarity II runs two wavelengths, we adjust the settings to your skin tone and your hair type rather than treating everyone the same, so deeper skin tones can be treated safely. What the laser does need is pigment in the hair, so it is less effective on blonde, grey or red hair, which contains less melanin for it to find. Your consultation confirms the right settings before we start.

Setting Expectations

Long-Term Reduction: Let's Be Precise

Hair grows in cycles, and a laser can only affect a follicle that’s actively growing. That’s why this is a series, not a single appointment, and why “permanent” isn’t quite the right word.

After 2 to 3 Sessions

Most folks begin to see a significant reduction in hair.

6 to 8 Sessions, 4 to 6 Weeks Apart

The full series, a minimum of 6 to 8 sessions catches follicles across their growth cycles.

Long-Term, Not "Permanent"

Most people see substantial reduction. Some hair may eventually regrow, usually finer and lighter, so maintenance treatments may be needed.

Your Experience

What to Expect: Step by Step

Shave the area 24 to 48 hours before, then leave the rest to us.

1

Consultation

We discuss your skin type, hair colour and medical history to confirm laser is right for you.

2

Cleanse & Treat

The area is cleansed, then the handheld device moves over it, emitting pulses that target the follicles.

3

Shed & Return

Treated hair sheds over the following days. Back in 4 to 6 weeks for the next session.

4

Post Care

SPF is essential after your treatment. You can shave as needed, but no waxing or plucking.

Investment

Personalized Pricing

Pricing depends on the area and the size of the series, an underarm plan and a full-body plan aren’t the same thing. We’ll map it out and quote it at your consultation.

5/5

I love this clinic. They are professional and take the time to hear what it is you are looking for. Causes of the issues you are having are explained and the options that can benefit you. The Botox has helped my family member with terrible jaw pain and headaches. I’d recommend it to anyone and we will be continuing to use them.

5/5

The team at Seamless Health is truly second to none! I have been seeing Cheri for injections for years, first for migraines and then some subtle cosmetic enhancements. I look refreshed, never frozen, and every time I see her she has some new course she’s taking to further her expertise. I want the injector that other injectors go to, and that’s her! I trust Cheri & Steve 100% and highly recommend!

Yes. The Lutronic Clarity II™ is a dual wavelength laser, so the settings are matched to your skin tone and hair type, and a wide range of skin types can be treated safely, deeper skin tones included. Your Laser Technician confirms the right settings at your consultation and starts conservatively. The limit is the hair rather than the skin: blonde, grey and red hair contains less melanin for the laser to target, so it responds less well.

Yes. Shaving is actually recommended, as it removes hair at the skin’s surface without affecting the hair follicle. What you must avoid is waxing, plucking or depilatory creams. Those remove the follicle the laser needs to target.

Most patients experience minimal discomfort, often described as a stinging or snapping sensation, which is brief and tolerable. Minor side effects include temporary redness, swelling or mild discomfort, which typically resolve within a few hours to a couple of days. It’s considered safe when performed by a trained professional.
